Data Collection
Personal Information
By default, we collect nothing personal — you receive a booking token that acts as your session identifier. If you choose to add your email at booking, we store it to send you the token and receipt. Payment is processed by our payment gateway under its own privacy policy; no personal payment information is stored with LissnUp. Access to payment records is strictly gated and used only for payment operations.
Session Information
- Session date, time, duration, and format (text or voice)
- Any preferences you shared at booking
- Feedback you choose to submit after the session
We don't retain IP addresses, user-agent strings, session recordings, or transcripts. Sessions run in rooms managed by a third-party provider; we don't have access to their internal logs.
How We Use Information
- Assign an available listener to your booking, based on your stated preferences
- Communicate with you about sessions and refunds (only if you've chosen to share an email)
- Improve our platform and user experience
- Ensure user safety and platform security
- Provide customer support
Session Confidentiality
No recording of sessions— ever.
No conversation content is stored— so there's nothing to share.
Listeners are trained in confidentiality and bound by clear guidelines.
Safety Exceptions
We may disclose session information only for:
- Imminent danger to you or others
- Legal obligations or court orders
- Child safety concerns
- Platform safety violations
Data Retention
What we keep:Only what's needed to run the service — your booking record, any preferences you shared, and feedback you submit. That's it.
What we don't keep: Session recordings, transcripts, or conversation content of any kind. Never.

- Request deletion of any data you've shared (like your email)
- End sessions anytime

Security Measures
We implement encryption, access controls, regular security assessments, employee training, and incident response procedures. However, no internet transmission is 100% secure.
